Multi-layered Spam Protection PROBLEM Spam attacks have increased at rapid rates, imposing a major strain on corporate email infrastructure, productivity, and resources. The Gartner Group estimates that in 2004, unless enterprises take defensive action, more than 50% of their message traffic will be spam. Most current anti-spam technologies are reactive, cannot detect many of today’s sophisticated spamming tactics or spam types, and do not address the flexibility, scalability and performance requirements of the global, distributed enterprise.
